(Very!) Low-Carb Pizza Crust

We at Big Horn love pizza! Indeed, there are very few things NOT to love about pizza… apart from the fact it’s not always the healthiest option.

And often, the toppings aren’t always to blame for a poor nutritional profile. Unsurprisingly, it’s the crust that’s usually the culprit!

While pizza crust is usually quite tasty, it’s also carb / gluten / calorie-laden, and a couple slices aren’t going to leave you feeling upbeat and energetic.

How can we enjoy one of humankind’s most favorite dishes and still be kind to our bodies?

Enter: Chicken-Based Crust 🍕 – a protein-rich, low-carb, objectively healthy, yet still great-tasting option!

Whether you’re following a low-carb / ketogenic lifestyle, or you’re simply trying to make a healthier pizza for your family, you’re going to want to give this pizza crust a shot. Here’s how!


-1 lb. of Ground Chicken (or Turkey)

-1/4 cup of Parmesan Cheese

-1/4 cup Mozzarella cheese

-1tsp. Italian seasoning

-1 tsp. Big Horn Neapolitan Herb Balsamic Vinegar

-Sea salt and Pepper (to taste)


Step 1: Pre heat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2: Mix together the above ingredients.

Step 3: Using a pizza non stick pan or cookie sheet, spread the mixture into shape.

Step 4: Bake for 20 minutes.

Step 5: Flip the crust and decorate with your choice of toppings. (You can’t go wrong with simple and traditional. We suggest toppings of an Italian cheese blend, some basil, and a delectable drizzle of Olive Oil!)
