BBQ Shrimp Recipe
Easy BBQ Shrimp Skewers with Big Horn Flavor!
Summer is the perfect time for backyard grilling, and these BBQ Shrimp Skewers are about to become your new favorite dish. They're bright, juicy, and packed with tropical flavor—thanks to a little help from Big Horn's Persian Lime Olive Oil and Coconut Balsamic Vinegar.
Whether you’re hosting a cookout, heading to a potluck, or just enjoying dinner on the patio, this recipe brings the kind of bold, citrusy taste that feels like sunshine on a plate. Even better? It’s super easy and only takes a few minutes to cook. Let’s get to it!

Ingredients:
-
1 pound uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
-
4 tablespoons Big Horn Persian Lime Olive Oil – bright and zesty!
-
4 tablespoons Big Horn Coconut Balsamic Vinegar – tropical and tangy
-
Lime Fresca Sea Salt, to taste – for that final zing
-
Wooden skewers (soaked in water for 15 minutes)
Instructions:
1. Soak Those Skewers
If you're using wooden skewers, soak them in water for about 15 minutes before grilling. This helps keep them from burning on the grill.
2. Marinate the Shrimp
In a bowl, toss your shrimp with Big Horn Persian Lime Olive Oil. Let them soak up that limey goodness for about 10 minutes. This gives them flavor and keeps them juicy when grilled.
3. Skewer Time!
Thread the marinated shrimp onto the soaked skewers. You can do a few per stick—just make sure they’re spaced out enough to cook evenly.
4. Hit the Grill
Place the skewers on a preheated grill and cook the shrimp for about 3 to 5 minutes per side. You’ll know they’re ready when they turn pink and slightly charred.
5. Brush + Sprinkle
While grilling, brush the shrimp often with Big Horn Coconut Balsamic Vinegar. It gives a tangy-sweet glaze that’s seriously delicious. Once they’re done, sprinkle with Lime Fresca Sea Salt for a little extra punch.
6. Serve It Up!
Pile your skewers on a platter, add a few lime wedges on the side if you like, and dig in! They’re great on their own, over salad, or tucked into tacos.
💡 Pro Tip:
Want to make these skewers a full meal? Serve them with coconut rice, grilled veggies, or even a side of citrusy potato salad (like our Smashed Citrus Potato Salad—just saying 😄).
