Gouda Cheese Balls Recipe
1/2 lb. Gouda Cheese, shredded
2 egg whites
1 tsp. baking powder
3 Tbs. flour
1/4 tsp. Truffle salt
extra flour for dredging
Olive Oil for frying
In a food processor, shred the cheese, then change blade and mix with the
egg whites, baking powder, flour and truffle salt
until dough forms. Scrape out the dough and place into a zip lock bag. Mold
into a log and refrigerate 10-15 minutes.
Heat olive oil in a small pan. (Make sure that there is enough olive oil to
cover the size of the balls you make.)
Remove cheese dough from refrigerator. Make half inch balls, roll in flour
and drop into hot olive oil.(about 6 at the time)
Cook until golden brown. Scoop out with slotted spoon onto a paper towel
to drain. Serve with mustard sauce.
Mustard Dipping Sauce
1 Tbs. Denissimo Balsamic vinegar
2 Tbs. Smokey Onion Mustard
Mix together and serve
