Hot Honey Peach Pizza

Sep 2, 2026

Some recipes surprise you.

Not because they're complicated - but because they combine familiar ingredients in unexpected ways.

This pizza starts with juicy summer peaches, creamy mozzarella, salty prosciutto, and fresh basil.

Then comes the finishing touch.

A warm drizzle of honey infused with Big Horn Jalapeño Olive Oil, adding just enough gentle heat to balance the fruit's natural sweetness.

The result is sweet, savory, creamy, spicy, and just a little smoky - all in one bite.

It feels like something you'd order from your favorite artisan pizzeria, yet it's surprisingly easy to recreate at home.

🌶️ Featured Flavor: Jalapeño Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Hot honey has become one of the biggest food trends in recent years - and for good reason. A touch of sweetness paired with gentle heat has a way of making everything from pizza to roasted vegetables taste just a little more exciting.

Our favorite shortcut? Big Horn's Jalapeño Olive Oil.

Instead of infusing honey with chili flakes or waiting for flavors to develop, simply whisk or gently warm a little honey with Jalapeño Olive Oil. In just a minute or two, you'll have a silky, spicy-sweet drizzle that's balanced, flavorful, and ready to elevate just about anything.

Ingredients:

(This recipe makes 4 servings as a main course and 6-8 as an appetizer.)

For the Pizza

  • 1 lb prepared pizza dough (store-bought or homemade), at room temperature
  • 2 tbsp Big Horn Jalapeño Extra Virgin Olive Oil, divided
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, torn into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 ripe peaches, thinly sliced
  • 3 oz thinly sliced prosciutto
  • ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 8–10 fresh basil leaves, torn
  • Freshly cracked black pepper
  • Flaky sea salt (optional)

For the Hot Honey

Optional Garnishes

  • Fresh arugula
  • Burrata (for an extra-indulgent finish)
  • Lemon zest
  • A light drizzle of Traditional Aged Balsamic (optional, but excellent)

Instructions:

Act 1: Build the Foundation 🍑🍕

Preheat your oven according to your pizza dough's instructions (typically 475–500°F). If you have a pizza stone or steel, place it in the oven while it preheats. If not, a standard sheet pan works beautifully, too.

Lightly flour your work surface and stretch the pizza dough into a 12–14-inch circle or oval. Transfer it to a parchment-lined pizza peel or baking sheet, then brush the dough lightly with 1 tablespoon of Big Horn Jalapeño Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

Scatter the torn mozzarella evenly across the dough, leaving about a 1-inch border for the crust.

Act 2: Layer on the Summer! 🌞

Arrange the sliced peaches evenly over the mozzarella, followed by the ribbons of prosciutto. Sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesan and finish with a few turns of freshly cracked black pepper.

The goal is balance - every slice should get a little sweet, a little salty, and plenty of cheese.

Act 3: Bake Until Bubbling Perfection🔥

Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the crust is deeply golden, the cheese is bubbling, and the edges have developed beautiful caramelization.

While the pizza bakes, combine the honey and the remaining 1 tablespoon of Jalapeño Olive Oil in a small saucepan over very low heat for 1–2 minutes, whisking gently until smooth and fully combined. (Alternatively, microwave for about 15 seconds and stir well.)

Remove from the heat and set aside.

Act 4: Finish Boldly!

Transfer the hot pizza to a cutting board and immediately scatter the torn basil over the top.

Generously drizzle with the warm Jalapeño Hot Honey, then finish with a pinch of flaky sea salt if desired.

Slice, serve, and enjoy while the cheese is still wonderfully melty.

Enjoy!
