Serving Guidelines:

Who are we to stifle creativity with strict measurements? This isnā€™t baking. In all seriousness, this salad allows for some wiggle room and should prove to be delicious - even without exact measuring.

We encourage you to adapt ingredient measurements & ratios by asking two questions:

  1. How many servings do I need to make?
  2. What are the personal preferences of the table? (e.g., How much salad does this crowd eat? Is this salad a starter or the main event?)

However, if you are more of a specific-numbers person, worry not! We've got ya covered below.

Here are some general rules of thumb to follow when crafting an out-of-this-world salad:

Oil-to-Vinegar Ratio

This mixture, otherwise known as a ā€œvinaigretteā€, will bring this dish to life. Your vinaigrette is also something you can, over time, really customize and make your own!

However, a great starting point is to mix three (3) parts oil with one (1) part vinegar. Start with this three-to-one oil / vinegar ratio, and feel free to tweak your vinaigrette from there... You budding chef, you! šŸ§‘ā€šŸ³

How Much Vinaigrette Should I Make?

Aim for one to two (1-2) oz. of vinaigrette dressing per serving. Put another way, thatā€™s two to four (2-4) tablespoons. (Of course, itā€™s not a bad idea to make extra!)

How Much Arugula Should be in a Serving?

This will depend on whether this salad is a starter or a main, but you can begin with one (1) to one-and-a-half (1.5) cups per person. This roughly looks like the size of one or two baseballs if youā€™re eye-balling.

What About the Other Ingredients?

Hereā€™s where things really get fun! You can put your own spin on this salad by dialing in the ratios of fresh blackberries, sliced almonds, avocado, and goat cheese.

Experiment, taste, and iterate! Next thing you know, people will be bribing you for the recipe.

Enjoy! šŸ˜Š
